Artdink Corporation and Square Enix have released new screenshots and details for Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. We have learned what new awaits us in Dragon Quest I in the form of scenarios, battles, and dungeons.
Connection to Erdrick Trilogy
Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will feature multiple scenarios that deepen the connection with the Erdrick trilogy. To save the world in Dragon Quest I, we will need to seek the help of Rubiss, who also appeared in DQ III. In the English version, she will be voiced by Kelly Hotten, while Natsuki Kimura will be part of the Japanese voice cast.

On our journey, we will also be aided by the ancient spirit Dream-Whisperer, who created Alefgard. She is also the leader of the fairies and tries to summon Rubiss.

New conflicts for a deeper story
This remake will include conflicts and conversations with characters that did not originally appear in this title. We will solve various puzzles with them and listen to stories about events they experienced on their journey.

New dungeons and enemies for a more dynamic adventure
Alefgard will change significantly with new dungeons and enemies. Every new corner of the dungeons and the world will reveal some new secrets to us.

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake releases on October 30 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
