The communications team behind the Battlefield series has announced that Battlefield Hardline will soon end support on older consoles. As of May 22, 2026, the game will be removed from digital stores on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, meaning it will no longer be available for purchase. One month later, on June 22, 2026, the online servers for those platforms will also be shut down. It is important to emphasize that this change does not affect the PC version, which remains available for purchase and play with active online services. The game was originally released in 2015 and over time has sold more than 8 million copies. Ending support is part of the industry's transition to newer generations of consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S.
