When I downloaded the code for Westild's Law, I didn't know what would await me during gameplay. Although the trailer looked tempting, I was afraid that there was a catch. Fortunately, my hunches turned out to be incorrect.
It is an indie retro-styled twin-stick shooter released on December 6, 2024 for all current platforms (PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 (tested version), and Nintendo Switch) set in a western setting.

The player takes on the role of one of two bounty hunters, aiming to clear the city of bandits through a variety of missions such as eliminating enemies, rescuing hostages, defending dynamite wagons, horse racing, train battles, and boss battles.
+
The gameplay itself is quite fun, fluid and fast. The game brings 48 explosive missions filled with action. Earned money after successfully completing the missions allows upgrading existing and buying new weapons, improving statistics and acquiring special abilities.

While playing, the only complaints I noticed include the inability to play co-op or online, and not the ability to choose missions freely, but they are all passed in a predefined order.
Conclusion

Pixelated graphics, the atmosphere of the Wild West and adrenaline-charged missions make Westild's Law a must-have title for all fans of action and 16-bit snow-like graphics. The price of 5.99 euros is more than affordable for a quality game that will provide a distraction from big and serious titles.
