The team from Brainium Games and Deadpix Studios bring an interesting new/old game in pixel art style. The game was released on May 8, 2025 for PC and Nintendo Switch, and for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S it was released a day later on May 9, 2025.
Undivine is a classic dark metroidvania game with RPG elements.
The main protagonist is known only as the Traveler, as everyone calls him in the game. The setting is an abandoned village where a huge hole opened and swallowed a large part of the population, while those who entered it never returned.
Then our pixelated hero Traveler appears and jumps into a huge hole in the ground. By passing through the portal, we discover an interconnected world full of secrets that are just waiting for us to discover them.

The world in the game is non-linear, as are the tasks themselves, but what is pleasantly surprising is the freedom of movement, exploration, collecting relics and fighting enemies.
The combat is fast, but not varied; even the boss fights are a bit monotonous.
The controls are quite simple - use the analog stick to move, use the X button to jump, use the Square button to attack with a weapon, and use the same buttons to interact with the characters and collect items.
The inventory is opened by pressing the Touchpad on the DualSense controller. In the inventory we have various health potions, antidotes and everything collected, including the keys that we use in the menu.
There is also a talent system that allows us to develop skills such as alchemy, demonology, dexterity and cartography.
As a player, we can use relics, swords, armor and accessories such as rings that improve statistics or enable the display of, for example, the opponent's health bar. This gives us the ability to create a character according to our own ideas and gradually unlock his abilities.

The graphics are classic pixel art visuals that match the theme and atmosphere - a real new/old game full of cute throwbacks to the world of old NES games: just like that, cute, minimalistic.
