At first glance, Moros Protocol looks like another indie FPS roguelite, but after a few minutes you realize that something much more exciting awaits you. You wake up on a spaceship that looks like it's turned into a nightmare, and from that moment on, every step brings a sense of unease.
The levels are procedurally generated, so you never know where you'll end up. One time you explore the empty corridors while hearing something rustling from the ventilation, another time around the first corner you run into a monster that seems to have escaped from Dead Space. Death is a constant companion, but it is not the end. You come back stronger, and the ship changes again and becomes a new experience.
What sets the game apart the most is the atmosphere. Retro pixelated visuals combined with modern effects give a special charm. Sounds and music further enhance the feeling of claustrophobia and constant threat. Although it looks like an homage to the nineties, when the action starts it is clear that this is a serious test of reflexes and nerves.

Moros Protocol was released on September 18 on Steam, and after playing it for a short time it is clear that it will attract everyone who likes a challenge and a good dose of horror. If you grew up on Doom and System Shock, or are simply looking for a game that will keep you on the edge of your seat, this is a title worth adding to wish list.
