Monarchy is a 2D strategy game where we can unleash our strategic brilliance.
We build a base, take care of resources, explore a mysterious forest and win
enemies.
The game is very similar to the Kingdom game, only slightly modernized, nicer graphics, but the same idea.
The idea of the Monarchy game is to survive the days, that is, the nights, and lead your kingdom as long as possible
as strange as it sounds, in the middle of a mysterious forest. Yes, you read that right, in the middle of the forest.
We arrived in the mentioned forest and built the first ramparts, we have the first subjects who
they help build the main buildings. The first building we build is of course a tent, like ours
base of operations. After that, let's build a building where we can employ more loggers
that is, the builder. Then we make a building where we supply the subjects with weapons
like a bow and arrow.
Once our subjects have bows and arrows in their hands we are ready to proceed
exploring the forest where we encounter wild animals such as deer and rabbits to mention
subjects can guess and thus give us a few coins. Both shooters and
workers have more than one role. When we leave the circle of our ramparts, to the workers
we can command them to cut down trees by spending one coin and marking the tree
which we want to be demolished.
Beyond simply exploring the forest, Monarchy brings us more than that. They are in the forest
hidden numerous caves, unexpected enemies and treasures. There are also special unique ones
experiences. Some of them are like that

The Winter Knight.
The land of bandits provides us with a larger number of bandits, which come in the basic game experience
only at night, which we have to chase and clean the caves in the summer environment.
Siege allows us to build a powerful trebuchet and besiege enemy walls
of the castle while everything takes place in autumn environments, enemies attack from only one
sides.
The Winter Knight places our hero in a harsh winter that hides many secrets to be discovered.
We have to find them and survive the winter environment where enemies attack us with
randomly from one side each night.
Every day, after a successful night, a carriage comes to our kingdom and gives
we have a choice, do we want more people, or do we need coins. Also, there is a special monolith with
with which we can get many unique upgrades at each transition of the game.
We've saved the sweetest for last, this game is available to play in up to 2 players locally and
when playing with another player, take our word for it that it feels like you're playing
a completely different game.
This game is short and sweet, full of surprises and the occasional puzzle. We certainly would
recommend Monarchy if you've had enough of AAA titles and want something for 90% rest
brain and 10% to enjoy the simplicity and beauty of this game. The game is available from November 6, 2024.
