MiceGard is a very short and sweet game made with inspiration from Norse mythology, although the only mention of Norse mythology is really the word "ragnarok". It is about a small village of mice that was protected from the evil forces of the outside world for years until the moment when the evil frog wizard decides to kidnap the children from the said village.

Micel, our main character and a handful of warriors, decides to go into the forest, up and down to find the kidnapped children. We have a choice between a defensive line-up of our heroes or an attacking line-up. The attacking formation is in the form of a triangle, where 3 warriors stand with raised shields, and the back line uses a bow and arrow to attack. The defensive setup is in the shape of a circle, reminiscent of the shape of a shield, which is useful in some of the missions where we have to defend a certain character from attackers. In this setup, our heroes all use shield and sword for defense in a circle.

All in all, this is one of the shorter and simpler games we've played recently. Available on all platforms, PlayStation, Xbox, Windows Store and Nintendo Switch and on Steam at a price of 9.99 euros. There are ten levels in the whole game, and the game itself lasts a full 2 hours. For trophy collectors on the PlayStation platform, good news, we collected the platinum before halfway through the game and before all unlocked levels.
