If you are preparing for Halloween, you have a collection of movies to watch and a costume to wear, but you don't know what to play, MiroWin studio has prepared a free chapter of its game Bureau of Contacts for the Windows platform. The concept of the title is a first-person horror experience in single player and Co-op style, where supernatural enemies are controlled by advanced A.I. technology.
Bureau of Contacts: Mansion offers a paranormal investigation experience in an abandoned mansion. You are in the role of an agent specialized in such investigations. Your goal is to familiarize yourself with the methods of detecting and identifying supernatural phenomena so that you can effectively remove them and thus earn money for better equipment in new tasks. Due to the complexity of the mechanics of the game itself, it would not be amiss to go through the tutorial first before the actual mission. You have a number of tools at your disposal, such as a UV lamp, a book for drawing symbols, a thermometer, an EVP device, crosses, etc. All these tools have a role to play in discovering what you are dealing with. Instruction notes are also available. For example, if you use a UV lamp to detect a symbol left by a ghost somewhere on the floor, find in the notebook with instructions which group the detected symbol belongs to, and with these clues you gradually narrow down the list of possible supernatural creatures you are hunting.
During the hunt, you have to pay attention to your character's lucidity, because his mental health deteriorates over time if you are in the dark for a long time or fall into some kind of trap. The most impressive thing is that the game uses Neural Network technology, which means that the behavior of the ghosts changes depending on the situation, thus creating an unpredictable scenario. The opponent learns from you and develops a strategy of defense or attack. Some will even try to establish diplomatic contact with you. In the game, you have the opportunity to talk to the ghost through a microphone or in writing, and the questions and answers are not predetermined. This means you can ask a ghost anything and believe me, you will get an answer more impressive than ChatGPT. Each player will have a unique experience interacting with the ghost. So be careful, because the virtual opponent is listening to you and you can seal your fate.
