Have you always wanted to know what it's like to be a baker, a zookeeper or a priest? Do you dream of running a farm, jewelry store or just want to drive a taxi? Polish publisher Ultimate Games S.A. there are a handful of such games on the Steam platform.
This time, for the Nintendo Switch console, we present the game by name Truck Driving.
The name itself tells what it is about, you are behind the wheel of a truck. When you start the game, you have several options on the main menu. One of them is the possibility of changing the buttons for controlling the vehicle. This is where you will start to notice the simplicity of this game. Namely, there are only four commands, namely forward, backward/brake, horn and pause. It is possible to turn off music and sound effects, although I don't really see the point of that.
I left everything at default, so let's drive.
On the vehicle selection screen, you will notice that you are offered only three trucks, one of which you can drive immediately, while two are unlocked with the money you earn by completing missions. All trucks are colorfully outlined and inspired by Indian culture.

I selected the only unlocked truck and started the first mission. Simply, drive straight from point A to point B. No turns, no obstacles, nothing. I thought it was a few initial missions to get familiar with the controls.
But no, all the missions, that is, all 25 are practically the same, with a few bends or climbs. The driving range, and let's be honest, the whole game feels like you're in a driving school, it's bordered by multi-colored poles, and on some missions, containers. When you hit any of them, the truck stops. no sound of impact, nothing. I somehow managed to get out of the polygon by crawling through the pillars, but I couldn't find a way back and the game informed me that I had to start the mission from the beginning. And that's the only way to fail the mission. Once you reach the finish line, you will be greeted by applause and confetti.

For each successfully completed mission, you get 200 coins. Since you have nothing else to spend them on anyway, when you collect enough of them, you can use them to buy new trucks. But honestly, it doesn't make sense because the difference is only in the appearance of the vehicle and the sound of the engine.
After what završite prvih 25 misija, otključavate tzv. "Night mode", which is zapravo potpuno istih 25 staza, razlika je samo what vozite po sumraku, you there is none pozadinske glazbe. Instead of nje, čuju se zrikavci i dogji lavež. Možda i bolje, because pozadinska music is andsta which is on glavnom izborniku, i to u loop-u.
When you press the horn, the Dixie Horn sounds and it's the best sound effect in the whole game.
Also, it's important to note that the missions are very, very short, lasting 5-10 seconds on average, so I finished the whole game in 31 minutes, including the time I spent writing notes and trying everything.
The game is on the Nintendo eShop at a price of €6.99, but honestly it's not even worth the time spent to find it there.
If you absolutely must have all possible driving simulations or if you are the biggest fan of the publisher Ultimate Games S.A. then get it, otherwise bypass it in a wide arc.
