"The Precinct" is an upcoming video game that takes players into the heart of Averno City, 1983. In this neon-noir sandbox police game, players take on the role of Nick Cordell Jr., a young cop fresh out of the Academy. His task is to clear the city of crime and uncover the truth behind the murder of his father, also a police officer.
The game offers a rich experience of exploring the colorful city, where players can patrol the streets on foot, in a police car or in a helicopter. The city is full of procedurally generated crimes, from minor misdemeanors to dangerous gang confrontations. Dynamic weather conditions and day-night cycles further enrich the game, creating an authentic atmosphere of the 1980s.
One of the key features of the game is intense vehicle chases through destructible environments, where players can use different tactics to catch criminals. Also, players can call in reinforcements, including police cars, roadblocks and spike strips. These chases are designed to be exciting and realistic, giving players an adrenaline rush as they race through the city.
"The Precinct" is also a love letter to classic police movies, combining the details of a police simulation with an action sandbox spectacle. Players will face a variety of characters, from yuppies to street vendors, as they investigate the dark conspiracies that keep the city under control.
