During our visit to the biggest video game fair in the world, we received an invitation to present a mission from the upcoming vampire RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker. Taking pictures and recording was strictly prohibited, so in the rest of this article we will write our impressions and what we learned about the game.

The one-hour presentation took place in a space that was a replica of a medieval church. In order to make the atmosphere authentic, the lights were turned off, and lit candles were the only source of light. When we were all invited, the friendly hosts from the Rebel Wolves studio introduced us to the game and showed us how to play one mission in two ways.

The action of the game is set in Europe of the 14th century in locations full of bloodthirsty vampires. The main character Coen has 30 days to save his family. It's up to the players to decide whether the missions will go by day or by night. Fortunately, the time in the game does not flow in real time, but the flow depends on exploring / solving missions / choosing decisions / talking to key NPCs.

Na početku players will moći biwari razine težine - od najlakše do hardcore!

Since Coen is a dawnwalker, he will be in human form during the day, while at night he will be in vampire form. Players will have a large number of skills at their disposal (human, vampire, shared), and at the same time there is leveling and experience points (XP).

Graphically, the game looks very good. The locations are superbly designed, and the fights themselves are quite brutal. Vampires have never looked more real. From what we've seen, it's really hard to live under vampire occupation. To escape opponents, Coen can run on walls during the night, and jump across rooftops.

Dialogues and background music are also at a high level. Although the theme of the game itself is dark, we have to admit the melodies are really relaxing.

As is usually the case in similar titles from the genre, during the adventure players will fight against vicious bosses. During this presentation, Coen fought St. Michael during the day. The fight itself seemed simple, but we were told that Mihael is weaker during the day, and we decided to fight him during the night, so that the fight would be more difficult and challenging. And that was the end of the presentation.

It is an understatement to say that what was shown delighted us. From what we have seen, we think that the gameplay is a cross between the best elements of the Assassins Creed series and The Witcher 3. We are certainly looking forward to the release of this dark open world action RPG. How it all looked in motion, you can see in the publicly released video after the end of the fair.
