Tetris Forever is the latest collection celebrating four decades of history of one of the most iconic video games of all time. Digital Eclipse, known for its high-quality remasters, announced that this collection will contain more than 15 games, including several that will be available outside of Japan for the first time.
The compilation will include classic versions of Tetris, such as the original 1984 version created by Alexey Pajitnov on the Soviet Electronika 60 computer. Also included will be versions for the Apple II, NES, Game Boy, Famicom, and Super Famicom. Among the games are lesser-known Japanese titles such as Tetris Battle Gaiden and Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss.
One of the most exciting new features is Tetris Time Warp, a brand new game developed by Digital Eclipse. This game allows players to "travel" through different eras of Tetris, changing the graphics, play style and mechanics in real time.
