Team Meat has announced a brand new game from its legendary series - Super Meat Boy 3D. After the original in 2010 Super Meat Boy redefined the hardcore platformer genre, a Super Meat Boy Forever 2020 brought mixed reactions with automated movement mechanics, the third game brings the most radical change yet: the transition to three-dimensional space.
The game was announced with a short teaser trailer showing the protagonist in a completely new 3D environment. While gameplay details haven't been fully revealed yet, the trailer suggests that they will Super Meat Boy 3D retain its signature level of challenge and brutal precision, but in a completely new visual guise.
It is not yet known for which platforms the game will be available, but it has been confirmed that it will be released in 2026. For all nostalgic fans, this is potentially a fresh start to one of the most beloved indie platformers, now with a new perspective – literally.
