Crafton said that the delay is not a way to avoid payment, but they believe that Subnautica 2 it is not ready for release, which was confirmed by internal tests. They also said in a separate message: "Nothing will change in the direction of the game or the team developing it. We are confident that we have a good game, we just want to give you a little more content in its first version."
