Here's another piece of news that we missed while we were at this year's Gamescom.
GSC Game World has confirmed that the shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will arrive on PlayStation 5 on November 20, 2025, exactly one year after its original release on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
Technical specifications and improvements for PS5 Pro
- Basic PS5 console in performance mode it aims for 2K at 60 fps, and in quality mode 4K at 30 fps, with the ambition of the studio to support 4K at 60 fps in performance mode at launch as well
- PS5 Pro version will bring significant visual improvements - higher quality shadows, effects, volumetric lighting and textures - and will support 4K at 60 fps in both modes (performance and quality)
Taking advantage of DualSense
The development team included the specific capabilities of the DualSense controller in the PS5 version: haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, speaker, touchpad and light bar, which provides the game with a deeper experience and greater immersion in the atmosphere. Radio sounds and notifications will be played as if coming from the player's shoulder - only through the controller
