Brainlag Games a team made up of former employees German Piranha Bytes (Risen, Gothic, Elex) preparing his new game. Rootbound will be an action adventure with an isometric perspective and a focus on the environment. The story follows a long-forgotten civilization on the island of Akara, players will also come across elements of survival titles during the game and will also avoid toxic rain following the example of Kojima's Death Stranding.
Rootbound is under development for PC, and the release is scheduled for the year 2026.
