Bandai Namco and development team NOW PRODUCTION have announced Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC, a remastered version of the cult platformer game from 2002. The game releases on September 26, 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
The remake brings modernized graphics, expanded levels, additional content and improved controls. Added a co-op mode where another player can control the flying assistant Pac-Drone. Platforming accuracy has been improved with a visual jump indicator, and new missions, costumes, figurines and expanded boss fights have been introduced. The game includes voice acting and a brand new location – pac-village.
The game will be available in Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe version includes three additional levels, a special costume, 20 collectible figures and PAC-LAND clothing. Owners of the previous Pac-Man World Re-PAC game will receive an exclusive TOC-MAN costume.
The original Pac-Man World 2 game was released in 2002 for the PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox, and this remake brings the same heart of the game with all the conveniences of modern technology. Pre-orders are already available for Nintendo Switch and PC, with other platforms coming soon.
