Long awaited Nintendo Switch 2 console has finally gone on sale, along with more than 20 new games, including the biggest Mario Kart so far - Mario Kart World. The new console brings a number of innovations that promise to redefine the way gamers connect and play, whether locally or online.
Nintendo Switch 2 - more than an upgrade
The successor to the original Switch comes with more powerful hardware, including 7.9-inch 1080p screen, 256 GB of internal memory, Joy-Con 2 controllers with magnetic attachment and control options like a mouse and extended network functions as it is GameChat – a new way of voice and video communication during gameplay.
The Switch 2 also allows you to play in 4K resolution (on compatible screens) and up to 120 frames per second, with support for VRR technology, 3D sound, USB-C ports and the ability to upgrade old Switch games with better graphics and additional options.
Mario Kart World – racing like never before
New Mario Kart World not only increases the number of competitors on the track (up to 24 drivers), but introduces big open world to explore, new modes like Knockout Tour i Free Roam, as well as the ability to play locally (including split-screen) and online with GameChat functionality.

The arrival is particularly noteworthy Nintendo GameCube Classics libraries, with renewed editions like F-Zero GX, The Wind Waker i Soulcalibur II, exclusively for subscribers Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
What's next?
Nintendo is already announcing a number of upcoming titles for 2025 and 2026, including Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Borderlands 4, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Donkey Kong Banana, Super Mario Party Jamboree and others.
