Nintendo has officially confirmed that it will Pokémon Pokopia, a new game in the style of Animal Crossing, will be released on March 5, 2026 for the Nintendo Switch 2 console. Pokopia will also be the first Nintendo game to be physically released on a Game Key Card, a new format that replaces the classic game cards.
In the game, Players take on the role of the human-mimicking Ditto, and through the game they can build, explore and befriend Pokémon. New friends teach Ditto special abilities, such as watering plants, shaping terrain or building objects. As the settlement grows, more Pokémon arrive, and the world changes through a cycle of day and night linked to the right weather. Different biomes offer diverse and environments to explore.
