We played Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny, an action RPG with characters from Nickelodeon cartoons. The publisher is GameMill Entertainment, who are known for similar "children's" games - "Hot Wheels"; "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer"; "Nickelodeon Kart Racers" series and the like. The developers are the Brazilian studio Petit Fabrik and Fair Play Labs. The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC, and we played the Play Station version.

Of course, there is also the possibility of playing each level on "hard" mode, which I did not try with my daughter, but I tried it myself and it is visibly more difficult than easy and normal mode. The controls are simple, no jumping, just moving and destroying the opponent. The fights are fast and they are in real time - there are no cutscenes or environment changes when the fight starts, but the fight happens "along the way", like in the style of Diablo and similar games. By defeating opponents, we gain HP, which unlocks new powers and upgrades weapons, just like in any classic fantasy RPG game. And just like in other RPGs, they exist here shops where you buy armors, weapons, skins, and everything. The progression and leveling system is not overly complicated, it's basically very basic, but it's done in a fun and very accessible way. There are also coins in the game, an in-game currency that you collect by destroying boxes and various objects around the worlds. Each level is made like a simple maze - we have to find out where a certain item is and take it, which usually doesn't take too much time. Bosses the game features classic Nickelodeon villains, such as Plankton, Ember, Angelica, Jorgen, and the final boss is Vicky from "Fairly OddParents". The game is a lot of fun, and offers a nostalgic feel of cartoons combined with the modern mechanics of RPG games like Diablo or Final Fantasy. So RPG fans can have fun in this game, as well as just fans of old Nickelodeon cartoons. The game will be fun for children, because there is a lot of it cutscene which are like cartoons, with funny supporting characters from Nickelodeon cartoons. Although the game feels superficial and repetitive, and has the unfulfilled potential of what could have been one of the best games of its kind, it's still fun and a good introduction to young players who like the RPG genre. Nostalgia and good rendition of classic cartoon characters is what makes this game good. You can, like me, play co-op with your child and spend hours and hours on it.
