Connections
The console has connections for 2 controllers, an HDMI output and a USB-C port for power. In addition, it has switches for:

The front panel, where the old gang ghosts and the Atari sign are, conveniently lights up when the console is turned on. This detail comes to the fore especially in the evening environment and additionally decorates your living room. The Atari 2600 Plus Pac-Man edition comes with a wireless CX40 Plus joystick and the game Pac-Man: Double Feature. The wireless controller is in all respects identical to the old one. With a couple of important details that make the difference. At the very top of the bat is a Pac-Man design. The ring around the stick is decorated with details such as power pellets and dots (which are embossed). In addition, alternative bats have also been released that match the ghost gang.
In this release, the console comes with a single controller, which means that for two-player gaming, you'll have to shell out extra money to get a controller from Atari, or you'll have to use one of the supported 9-pin D-controllers. What is a small minus... Definitely excessive hardness of the D-controller itself, so you will definitely have to hold the controller with two hands for some time, but considering that it is a wireless controller, this becomes a much smaller problem. A particularly interesting detail is that the D-controller comes with a USB adapter.
Hardware
Although the appearance of the Atari 2600 Plus Pac-Man edition remained true to the debut, the interior was not. Namely, this upgrade for the CX-20 controller could definitely not be done with a firmware update alone, but had to be a revision of the hardware, which is more similar to the 7800+ than the 2600+, as this would disable support for the CX-20. This hardware revision is definitely in the new 2600+.
