Digital Eclipse and Atari have officially announced the physical editions of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection on all current platforms: PlayStation5, Xbox SeriesX/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch2 and PC (Steam). All editions are available for pre-order and are scheduled to ship on December 12, 2025, while the release date of the digital edition will be announced at a later date.
The collection brings a significant selection of classic games from the period from 1992 to 2003:
- Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, Mortal Kombat III, Ultimate MK3
- Mortal Kombat 4, MK Advance, Deadly Alliance, Tournament Edition
- and Mortal Kombat Trilogy (PlayStation 1 version)
Along with the games, comes the interactive documentary component with interviews from the original developers (eg Ed Boon, John Tobias), galleries, secret characters, developer menus, and a timeline of the franchise's development.
