One of the games that is definitely on my list this year is Marvel Rivals, a hero shooter from Marvel and NetEase Games that I sincerely hope will revive this genre that has been crying out for something fresh for a long time and someone who could dethrone Blizzard's Overwatch 2.
Marvel Rivals was first announced in March of this year and has had closed alpha and beta tests so far, and on most official social networks players are asking NetEase to hold an open beta as well, which certainly proves that this game has the potential to enter the book of this genre.
At the recently held Gamescom, we got the Winter Soldier reveal as well as the official release date, which is December 6, 2024. It was also confirmed that all heroes will be free to play on release and in the future.
Marvel Rivals releases on December 6, 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
