The new indie delivery simulation with 90's graphics combines relaxed driving and humor with intriguing secrets.
Easy Delivery Co. is an upcoming video game that skillfully combines relaxed, humorous gameplay with a stealthy mysterious atmosphere, all wrapped in a nostalgic visual style inspired by the era of the first PlayStation. Canadian indie author Sam C. is behind this passionate project, while Oro Interactive acts as the publisher
Promotional illustration of the game Easy Delivery Co. evokes its retro look and idyllic mountain landscape. The game itself places the player in the role of a delivery man – and a cat at that – working for a transport company in a once colorful mountain town that has been buried by a perpetual blizzard. The task is to sit behind the wheel of a small pickup truck (kei kamion) and razvoziti pakeand localm stanovnicthere is, insput upijajući atmosferu te upoznavajući njihove pomalo neowhipne priče Nawariv se otkriva postupno through dostave, premda autori u šali uvjeravaju gameče da je gradić "sasvim normalan" i da u njemu "there is none ničeg čudnog, nikakvog lorea, baš ništa, obećavamo".
Gameplay is decidedly casual: vehicle control is simple and intuitive, and driving on winding, snowy roads can be meditative - but slippery terrain can easily turn delivery into a chaotic chase. During the delivery tours, you will be accompanied by an appropriate musical background - "cool" rhythms echo from the radio, among which the energetic drum & bass soundtrack stands out.
A lot of charm comes from the distinctive audiovisual style. Easy Delivery Co. deliberately uses simplistic, low-res 3D models and pixelated textures to evoke a late-90s look - the game really looks like an original PlayStation title. This retro approach further emphasizes the atmosphere: while you run through a snow blizzard at night, illuminated only by the yellow beams of truck lights, the scene seems idyllic and a little creepy.
Although it presents itself as a completely relaxed "casual" game, Easy Delivery Co. it also hides a surprisingly creepy side. Players have already noticed in the demo that something is not quite right with the town - from an unusually gloomy weather anomaly to strange statements from local NPCs - so many are wondering if the final version will also contain elements of horror or the supernatural. But even without explicit horror, the authors balance a pleasant, almost "cozy" atmosphere with mild humor and barely noticeable tension, creating an atmosphere that is both sweet and slightly uneasy. Such a unique combination could appeal to a diverse audience – from nostalgic gamers who grew up with PS1 classics, to a new generation who are attracted to unconventional indie titles with a more relaxed pace. Considering that the interest in retro-styled projects of small teams is growing again in recent years, Easy Delivery Co. has a chance to find its way to a wider circle of video game enthusiasts.
It is currently available free demo version of Easy Delivery Co. , and the release of the full version is scheduled for the end of 2025.
