what better prelude to playing The Grinch: Christmas Adventures than the upcoming Christmas season? November is the time before Christmas, when preparations for Christmas itself begin. It's the time when many look forward to Advent gatherings, re-watching all the Christmas movies (among which 'Home Alone' has long had a cult status), while some go in search of another Christmas decoration. At the same time, the Grinch has a special task! The Grinch devoted himself to his task also on time and he had just enough time left to complete the task - stealing all the gifts! Play this game to finally (also) know the answer to the one - How did the Grinch steal Christmas?!

You play the game as the Grinch and his dog Max. This is an ideal opportunity to play with children because the dog Max in the game cannot be injured by enemies or die from a missed jump. Therefore, it is recommended that if you play with children, let them control the dog Max, and you control the Grinch, which requires far more skill, and you have to be careful not to get hurt by enemies or jump into a chasm.

The Grinch in the game occasionally enters homes where he also steals gifts. What the Grinch  however, hugs are the most colorful and if the characters from the game manage to hug you, that's the end of the story.

The picture shows the moment before the hug, while the next picture shows the moment when the Grinch is caught in the hug. You can see that his heart has been emptied, i.e. it is no longer filled with red but gray.

If you thought the game would now take you back to the beginning of the level, you are wrong. The game just takes you back to the moment when you entered someone's home and then you start from the beginning guided by the verse of that song ("I'll be smarter next time").

For the Grinch to avoid hugs the second, third and nth time, you need to use places where you can hide. These are usually a wardrobe, a table and a bed!

The game also awards an achievement/trophy when you hide at least once in all possible places, i.e. under the bed, in the closet and under the table.

The game is quite simple and there are instructions (controls) at every step. The game literally tells you what to do, and it's up to you to steal all the gifts and find the pieces of the puzzle.

Then you connect the pieces of the puzzle into a real puzzle to get some special skills.

You must collect all the puzzle pieces within each level to gain abilities and progress through the story. Puzzles are often integrated into gameplay, requiring you to use abilities you've unlocked, and sometimes requiring you to return to a previous level after gaining new skills.

The game has several levels through parts The Caves (6 levels), The Countryside (6 levels) Who-ville (6 levels). The Feast: final level.

What's good about the game are the visuals, the ease of playing, the Christmas atmosphere, the ability to repeat a certain level and collect the gifts/puzzles you missed without having to collect the ones you've already collected before.

What's definitely not good in the game is the repetitive repetition of the same thing, the story that you can occasionally read/listen to from a book that doesn't follow the game itself (and you can't skip that part, you can only speed it up) and the absurdity in situations when you hide from the characters in the game. For example, literally 2 cm in front of them, you hide in the closet, under the bed or under the table and they don't see you at all. The way they act makes you think they're blind, even though you know they're not.

And so...

While playing this game, I realized that the Grinch also collected my gift, so I recommend playing this game only at your own risk. Don't say later that we didn't warn you!
