Hook: Complete Edition is a minimalist logic puzzle game for PlayStation 5 that provides a calm, thoughtful gaming experience. Hook: Complete Edition contains two games – Hook and Hook 2 – based on the easy-to-understand mechanics of removing all hooks from the board in the correct order. The rules are simple, but many levels require careful thought, and Hook 2 introduces a new dimension with additional mechanics that deepen the challenge. The difficulty of the puzzles increases gradually with a well-balanced challenge, so the game remains accessible, but also challenging enough for fans of the genre.
The visual style is extremely minimalistic – the black and white palette and clean lines provide an elegant, unobstructed display of the game, with the option of a dark mode for more comfortable gaming in the dark. A soothing ambient soundtrack (such as the sound of waves, chirping birds and soft bells) creates an almost meditative atmosphere. The game does not contain time limits or scoring; the player can solve all puzzles at her own pace, which further emphasizes the unobtrusive, anti-stress tone of the game.
