Pokémon GO will get new Gigantamax versions of popular monsters this month, Nintendo and Niantic announced. These versions of Pokémon first appeared in the Sword & Shield titles on Switch, and are coming to the mobile game on October 26th, another larger and more powerful version (Dynamax) was added in September.
The Gigantamax versions are different from the normal ones, as they are wider and more voluminous versions of the monster, so for example Gigantamax Pikachu fans have compared it to its original design from the 90s. Players will be able to fight during event, which will have a limited duration, they will initially be greeted by Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, and Niantic recommends that players rather team up than go into battle alone.
The music for the trailer was composed by Emmy winner Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Westworld, Gears of War 4 and 5), who said that this version of Pokémon helped him compose the epic song.
