On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Warcraft series, an event called Warcraft Direct was finally held yesterday, and it must be said that there was no shortage of news. Alone pre-show it mostly consisted of team members, who remembered how they came to Blizzard and when they started playing World of Warcraft, and later working on it.
Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest
A few weeks before the event, there were rumors that a remastered Warcraft II was being prepared, and that turned out to be true last night, but two more surprises came in the form of a Warcraft I remaster and a new patch for Warcraft III Reforged.
Heartstone: Heroes of Starcraft
In January, Starcraft characters will come to the world of Heartstone in the expansion called Heartstone: Heroes of Starcraft, players will be greeted by as many as 49 maps based on three factions (Zerg, Protoss and Terran), there will also be a murloc in Grunty armor, theme music and much more. There was also talk about an update for the arena and what the future will look like in 2025.
Warcraft Rumble
The mobile title Warcraft Rumble is celebrating its first year, offering players daily rewards, avatars and cosmetic items. Also announced are new heroic characters: Malfurion Stormrage, Orgrim Doomhammer, and Anub'arak, who, like Season 10's Sylvanas Windrunner, will be available to both sides of the player. On December 10, Rumble will also get its PC beta.
World of Warcraft
The event ended with news related to the retail and classic versions of World of Warcraft, and thus it was revealed that the game will receive a new cosmetic package, from which all the money will go to the Cure Duchenne association, which suffered from the player Mats "Ibelin" Steen, whose life is covered in the Netflix documentary "The Remarkable Life of Ibelin". The next stations of Classica have also been revealed, one of which is the world of Pandaria and much more.
It should be concluded that the future is very bright for the Warcraft series and that it certainly does not plan to leave for a few more years.
