It's time for a new edition of the regular column CroBarometar. This time we checked how domestic video game portals rated it Death Stranding 2!
A real load carrying simulator: it's not much fun at first, it gets better when you warm up, and the best feeling is when you finally get rid of everything that's pressing on your back.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach was a very difficult game for me to rate. The game is of very high quality by the vast majority of standards that I look at in my reviews. What I somehow miss is some kind of special, big improvement compared to its predecessor. By way of comparison, Kojima's Metal Gear Solid series got better and better from sequel to sequel. For each game you can say what is specific to it, while I cannot say something like that about Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. Okay, Kojima corrected all the complaints he got for the first part, but it seems he didn't look at the bigger picture.
Death Stranding 2 is not for everyone, but it is a special and unique game that will not leave anyone who finishes it indifferent.
Death Stranding 2 pushes the boundaries of genre design and in this respect sometimes reminds of games two decades ago, when there was more room for experimentation, or when we were just discovering them
It's not top ten, but still for me the best game of this rich year. An experience that should not be missed, neither because of genre, nor because of reputation, nor because of prejudice. An experience that should be experienced, in whatever way you can arrange it for yourself. Even if I had to personally come to your home and play the game in front of you, don't skip it! Experience Death Stranding 2. Experience this vision and masterpiece.
Death Stranding 2 is an ambitious, stylistically impeccable and thematically deep sequel that manages to improve almost all elements of the original, while retaining its unique identity. Although it still carries with it all the advantages and disadvantages of Kojima's authorial approach (not to mention insanity), the game offers a truly unforgettable experience that will reward only the most patient players.
