CroBarometar #2 - Until Dawn and Silent Hill 2 remake

On Halloween itself, we checked what domestic gaming portals think about two remakes of iconic horror games!

HCL (Silent Hill 2)

Silent Hill 2 improved and enriched the experience of the original classic, staying true to the story that made it famous. Despite some questionable changes, the remake didn't go in the wrong direction.

HCL (Until Dawn)

Još uvijek vrlo dobra horror adventure, samo je ova prerada propuštena prorka i još gore od toga - u nekim segmenteam čak i korak unatrag.

TEHIX (Until Dawn)

At the end of the day, I think the 2024 Until Dawn remake is a great example of how not all older games need a remake or remaster. The game is visually much better, but there are also old animations, worse camera, slow movement. When you add up and subtract everything, nothing here is worth your 70 euros.

GoodGame.hr (Silent Hill 2)

If you want a fully authentic experience to the original, this is not the game for you. You'll be better off getting the original on PS2 or PC, but if you're afraid of old games for some reason, then this is the alternative for you. It's less subtle, it's too long and with too much focus on combat, but the story and characters are still timeless, so kudos to Bloober for bringing them into modern clothing for everyone.
