The team behind Thomas Was Alone and John Wick Hex announced a new game based on the Tron series. Disney Tron: Catalyst will be isometric-action story-driven a game that will be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S consoles.
The game will be released in 2025 and will continue the story of Arq Grid, who was introduced by Bithell in the visual novel adventure Tron: Identity from 2023. The official description of Disney Tron: Catalysta says that in the title we are introduced to Exo, a new program that can create time loops.
With their new powers, Exo will fight against the tyrants who are wreaking havoc on the Grid and will have to avoid Conn, who works for the sinister agency CORE. In order to find out what exactly is causing the problem in the Grid, the Exo will have to learn to control their new abilities. Players will control Exo on the ground and drive the famous Light Cycle.
Bithell has already announced that they are working on more Tron games, which we will play sometime in the future. Disney Tron: Catalyst will be published by Devolver Digital under its label Big Fan Games.
