During last night's episode of RAW on Netflix, we learned that Roman Reigns will be on the cover of WWE 2K25. We also received more information about what the different versions of the game (Bloodline Edition, The Deadman Edition) will contain and what improvements this year's edition will bring.
The focus of the story will be the aforementioned Reigns, so in the showcase mode titled The Bloodline’s Dynasty, we will go through classic matches of this faction, as well as the Anoa’i family to which Reigns, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Yokozuna, Jacob Fatu, and others belong.
A new mode called The Island will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, and as stated by 2K Sports, players will have the opportunity to complete various tasks, participate in special events, change their appearance, and fight with other wrestlers to earn a WWE contract and impress Roman.
Other new features coming to the game this year include:
- Intergender matches, allowing male and female superstars to compete against each other
- Bloodline rules and Underground matches
- The return of the Chain Wrestling gameplay mechanic
- Improved MyFaction mode with a new World Tour section replacing Proving Grounds
- A new MyRise story, offering "one, multi-gender" story instead of two separate male and female stories
- Online multiplayer in MyGM mode
- Improvements to Universe mode including the return of promotions
Those who opt for the standard edition will receive the Wyatt Sicks pack with five new wrestlers (Uncle Howdy, Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, and Erick Rowan plus Howdy's and Cross's mask for The Island).
