The upcoming adaptation of the Silent Hill series has received a teaser trailer. If we are to judge by it, the story from Silent Hill 2 in the film will have a slight change. This somewhat contradicts previous statements from the team who said that this would be a faithful adaptation of the beloved game.
The trailer begins with James Sunderland waking up on the beach and at the same time sees the Lakeview Hotel on fire, but we are not sure if that is real or not. The teaser also features a mysterious cult that, guess what, was also not part of the second installment.
Return to Silent Hill will premiere on January 23, 2026. Jeremy Irvine will portray James Sunderland while Hannah Emily Anderson will play Maria, and Akira Yamaoka will be responsible for the music just as he did for the games.
