The renowned South Korean publisher and development studio NCSOFT today unveiled its new global MMORPG, Horizon Steel Frontiers, at the main South Korean gaming conference G‑Star 2025. Developed in collaboration with Guerrilla Games (known for games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Killzone), which operates under Sony Interactive Entertainment, Horizon Steel Frontiers is an MMORPG set in the universe of the Horizon series.

Set in a land of hunters of mechanical creatures known as the “Deadlands,” the game builds on the recognizable Horizon action and hunting dynamics while introducing systems typical of the MMORPG genre — a highly customizable combat experience and extensive player freedom. The goal is to provide a unique Horizon experience to players around the world.

The publisher NCSOFT has launched the official website for Horizon Steel Frontiers, which features the premiere trailer and an interview with the developers. The trailer highlights the world of Horizon Steel Frontiers, mechanical creatures, and large-scale battles specific to the game. In the interview, Jan‑Bart Van Beek — the studio director and art director at Guerrilla — shared his excitement about collaborating with NCSOFT to bring the Horizon experience to life. NCSOFT's CEO and CCO (Chief Creative Officer) Taekjin Kim and executive producer Sunggu Lee provided their insights, inspiration, and hopes for the new collaboration in a ten-minute gameplay and development commentary.

Additional details about Horizon Steel Frontiers will be gradually released through the official website. The game will be available as a multiplatform title for mobile devices and PC (through the PURPLE platform, owned by NCSOFT).
