Firefly Studios has released a short video informing fans that they will announce something related to the Stronghold series on Monday. Since desert symbols appear in the announcement, it can be concluded that the new project will be a return to the spin-off Stronghold Crusader.
Stronghold Crusader is set during the Crusades in the Middle East, originally released in 2002, and due to its positive reception, it was followed by the Extreme version (2008.), HD (2012.) and the sequel Stronghold Crusader 2 (2014.).
From Firefly, it has been confirmed that they will not be working on a new installment in Unreal Engine 5, but it could be a 4K remaster, similar to Stronghold: Definitive Edition.
