Netflix just released the third and final season of one of its biggest hits—Squid Game. I wouldn’t survive the games in real life, if anyone’s curious, so I took a spin at trying the official Squid Game mobile game from Netflix.
The game is exclusive to Netflix subscribers (free with membership). It’s a collection of mini-games that closely follow the reality show version. These include some classic favorites like Red Light Green Light, Glass Bridge, Dalgona, and Tug of War, along with inventive additions like Floor is Lava, Snow Day, and Pentathlon Relay. The mechanics are pretty straightforward, making it easy and fun to dive right in. I even find myself leaning while playing, as if I’m actually in the game, it’s that immersive. You can even unlock new characters and equip them with skills to help you progress through the challenges.
The whole battle royale vibe really appeals to me—it actually reminds me of the Squid Game I played on Roblox, but with better visuals. Some games I was knocking out of the park; other times, I was definitely just banking on luck.
Despite being a mobile game, it surprisingly has high replay value—especially if you’re just looking for a good time. Whether you’re playing solo or with friends, it promises to deliver solid entertainment. The games are intuitive too, so it’s easy to just pick up your phone and start playing.
Whether you’re after a quick challenge or curious if you’d survive the real thing, this mobile version is worth a try. It won’t change your life—but it might just change your lunch break.
