As a sentimental person, I tend to look for games that evoke the same kind of nostalgia I used to feel when playing as a child. Sometimes, you don’t want things over‑complicated — you just want to have fun. Gruniożerca Trilogy brings back the charm of retro gaming through a hungry and adorable pig named Grunio who solves puzzles with a food twist!
As the name suggests, for the price of one you get three games — each with its own flavor: the first with classic puzzling, the second ramping up the challenge and adding new mechanics, and the third (titled The Great Cavy Clean‑Up!) incorporating “clean‑up” mechanics, where Grunio is tasked with tidying and organizing the environment. This variety is just enough to keep the game entertaining.

What I like most is how the game balances accessibility and challenge. The controls and mechanics are intuitive: move, push blocks, figure out the path. But don’t let its simplicity fool you — some levels require thinking outside the box. It’s not just a puzzle game; it mixes in platformer elements. You don’t have to be a hardcore gamer to enjoy it, but there’s enough depth for those who like to plan and solve methodically. Even casual gamers can enjoy it.
Visually, the game leans into nostalgia: 8‑bit–inspired pixel art, chiptune-style music, and minimalist effects that evoke old NES classics — yet without glitches, since it runs smoothly on platforms like PC, Switch, and Xbox.
Overall, Gruniożerca Trilogy feels like a love letter to old-school gaming. We may not have a time machine to go back to the past, but through this game we can bask in the nostalgia we remember — like a child eagerly coming home to play.
