Blizzard's MMO champion World of Warcraft this Tuesday once again introduced players to a new conflict on the planet Azeroth. World of Warcraft Midnight the eleventh is expansion for the popular game and is also the second of the three planned titles in the Worldsoul Saga, which they still do World of Warcraft The War Within (2024) and the upcoming World of Warcraft The Last Titan.

I played several different classes to level 80 in the pre-patch event, which included most of the class changes for Midnight, focusing on my trusty Marksmanship Hunter main and the new Devourer Demon Hunter that unlocks with the expansion. I'm not ready to pass judgment on any spec until I see how they play at max level in difficult content. But as far as Marksmanship goes, I mostly agree with the changes so far thematically. Aimed Shot should be a big nuke that takes a long time to cast. But with the removal of talents like Streamlines, the damage needs to feel a lot chunkier than it currently does to earn that fantasy. Our final apex talent, which will give it a 100% critical chance at level 90, could be the answer. We'll see.

World of Warcraft: Midnight is a smart expansion that builds upon The War Within and improves on strength MMORPG foundations. As before, this is an evolution rather than a revolution, but I'm excited to see this icon still has room to grow. Small improvements really add up, making me want to spend far more time returning to this world than I expected.
