And the legendary Gothic game is soon reoccupying players all over the world - it has been confirmed that Gothic Remake will be released on June 5, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (Steam and GOG).
It is a complete remake of the original RPG classic from 2001, developed by Alkimia Interactive and published by THQ Nordic. The game promises a faithful recreation of the original with modernized systems and technical upgrades adapted to today's consoles and PCs.
The plot takes you back to the Valley of Mines (The Colony), where the kingdom of Myrtana counts on rich mining resources. But the exploitation and the magical barrier that imprisons the prisoners lead to a rebellion, and the arrival of an unknown prisoner - i.e. the player - completely changes the situation.
