Destiny 2: Shadow and Order delayed to June

The next major update for Destiny 2, titled Shadow and Order, has officially been delayed until June 9, 2026. The development team at Bungie Studios announced that the reason for the delay is the need for "extensive changes" and major improvements to the quality of gameplay, including the previously announced weapon leveling system. Although the DLC is delayed, regular updates to the game will continue throughout June, with planned events like the Guardian Games in March. More information about the expansion will be announced closer to release.
The delay had previously been the subject of rumours, partly due to a desire to avoid overlapping with the release of Marathon, Bungie's new shooter. Cooperation between the games was also announced.
