A light, chill video game in which you control a ghost-cat - no one would have thought that something like this would be accompanied by some controversy. But that's exactly what happened to the game we're presenting today. Although this video game is a fun mini romp, it was surrounded by controversy until its release date. Namely, if you watch YouTube clips from this video game called Ghostly Whiskers, and the video game Haunted Paws, you will notice a mountain of similarities, even identical things. The developers of the Haunted Paws video game went so far as to call Ghostly Whiskers a direct copy and theft of their video game. It is not for us to judge, it is only for us to present you a short review for the video game Ghostly Whiskers.
The developers of this game are Nostra games - the largest mobile gaming platform in India and Southeast Asia. The headquarters of the company is located in Singapore. The video game Ghostly Whiskers was released on January 15, 2026, and the price on the PlayStation Store is currently 8.99 euros.
This is a game in the third person, where as a cat-ghost (which is also a direct difference from the mentioned Haunted Paws - namely, there you are in the role of a dog) we solve the so-called puzzles or puzzles that we come across. The video game gives priority to research and solving easy tasks, and fighting or conflicts are almost non-existent - you will knock your opponent out of the game only twice. One time it's a giant spider, and the other time it's the main villain in the game who captured the owner of our cat (or cats). You will have to avoid other opponents, without fighting. The controls are simple. There are only a few mechanics that the player quickly learns. It should be noted that the game also has a co-op mode, where you can solve puzzles with a friend. The genre of this game is some kind of soft-horror. Adults won't find it scary, and it won't be too much fun either, so Ghostly Whiskers should be placed in the category - children's video games. I can't help but compare this game to the PlayStation classic Stray that I played recently. But even though you are in the role of a cat in both video games, the differences between these two video games are like heaven and earth. Stray is the pinnacle of the gaming industry, while Ghostly Whiskers is fleeting and simple AI fun.

The visual style of this video game is casual - meaning there are no sharp, overcomplicated graphics. Everything is simple, almost hand-drawn. Spooky classical music accompanies us throughout the game, which favors that "spooky" atmosphere. Unlike real horror games, this game has no jump-scares and no sense of discomfort at all.
You need about 1 hour to complete this entire video game. The platinum trophy is easy to win (thanks to the developers for another easy platinum). On the PlayStation Store, the average rating for this video game is 3.5/5, which is very generous. It will appeal to those who like simple, chill, not too complicated video games. In our opinion, this is another disappointment created through AI tools. The physics of movement are clumsy, and the button presses don't catch every time, so we often fall or do something we didn't want to, or the worst - we don't do anything at all even if we press the button. For 1 hour of gameplay, you can judge for yourself whether it is worth paying 9 euros. This is one of those video games whose price will drop to a euro or two in just a few weeks, so if we've intrigued you (which I don't believe - unless you're a fan of winning easy platinum trophies), wait a bit and then buy it.
