World of Warships: Legends kicks off the new year with the January update

Wargaming, the developer and publisher of World of Warships: Legends, the leading historically accurate naval multiplayer game for consoles and mobile devices, enters 2026 with a new content-packed update. Major additions include the new Born in Battle campaign, the 7th wave of Azur Lane, the French Navy campaign and the Gouden Leeuw office project. A new marathon has begun for the Soviet battleship of the legendary Kremlin level.

The Born in Battle campaign brings new rewards to World of Warships: Legends

This year's first campaign has arrived Available until January 23rd, the Born to Battle campaign features 100 milestones for players to complete and plenty of rewards on the table - from camouflage to crates and more. Players who complete the entire campaign with Admiralty Support active will welcome the British Premium Tier VIII Somme destroyer to their collection. This versatile vessel is armed with stealth long-range torpedoes and Torpedo Reload Accelerator consumables with unlimited charges for maximum destruction.

The new limited time Azur Lane content is available from January 19th to February 23rd

Azur Lane returns to legendary waters with wave 7, bringing new content from the side-scrolling naval wargame to World of Warships: Legends. Starting on January 19, World of Warships: Legends players can sail into battle with five new Azur Lane captains, the Italian tier VII premium battleship AL Vittorio Veneto, the German tier VIII premium cruiser AL Ägir, the Soviet tier VI premium cruiser AL Tallinn, and the torpedo-heavy German destroyer AL Z24 as well as a new crate and skin for the AL Massachusetts.

Vive la France! The action of the French Navy has begun

The French Navy's new campaign is stirring up the high seas with themed rewards, including special French Battleship crates. These crates contain skins for the French battleships Normandie, Lyon, Richelieu, Alsace, Bourgogne, Strasbourg and Flandre, and can also give the premium battleships Strasburg or Flandre themselves. Crates can also be obtained through the new Guardian of Freedom calendar, which will reward players who fill it with the character Marianne for the French captains. In addition to the new campaign and calendar, daring players can take part in the Mer De Courage quest to unlock the French captain Chareles Bléry.

Legendary ships, new competitive seasons and more

Two legendary ships are also arriving: the Dutch legendary-tier cruiser Gouden Leeuw with an Airstrike ability that can deal massive damage is here as an Office Project, and players can start collecting Ship Parts to unlock the Kremlin legendary-tier Soviet battleship as part of a three-update marathon.

Additionally, players can look forward to new Fleet Cup seasons, ranked battles and skirmishes in this update, along with the full release of Japanese hybrid battleships and a host of additional improvements. At the end of the update, from February 9th to February 23rd, players can complete a special quest and enjoy discounted ships, skins and captain characters as part of the Lunar New Year celebration.
